If you’d like us to publish your app for you, our company, Calvium, will process the submission via the Apple App Store or Google Play for you. The following is a guide of how the publishing process will work.
What to expect
When choosing to ask us to publish your app for you, you’ll be expected to provide us with all the information listed in the “What we need from you” sections, depending on the platform you choose.
Once we have the information, we’ll turn your AppFurnace app into an “App Package”. An App Package is a single file, containing all the media content, code and layouts of your app, as well as app icons, splash screens and data that will appear in descriptions on your chosen app store(s).
We’ll use this App Package to submit your app to the Apple App Store and/or Google Play.
What we need from You: iPhone
Before we can make your app ready for the iPhone platform, we’ll need all the files & information that are listed in "What do I need to publish on iPhone?"
What we need from You: Android
Before we can make your app ready for the Android platform, we’ll need all the files & information that are listed in "What do I need to publish on Android?"
Submitting your App
We recommend that you make sure that your app adheres to the guidelines of whichever platform you want to publish to before submitting your app, to ensure it is accepted by reviewers (iPhone apps only) and well-received by end users of your app:
Once you feel that your app is ready to publish, you should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, referencing your App ID (found at the end of the URL in the Editing interface), and providing the details outlined above.
Once you’ve provided all the details required, we’ll create an App Package of your AppFurnace app, and submit this to the Apple App Store and/or Google Play.
How long will it take?
If you’ve chosen to publish with Apple, your app will go through a review process with Apple, which can take up to 2 working weeks - at which point, your app may either be accepted to the Apple AppStore, or rejected - which will require you to fix any problems that Apple highlight in your app, before we submit it to their review process again (which can take a further 2 weeks).
If you’ve chosen to publish to Android, your app will normally take around 1 hour to appear on Google Play, and there is no review process.
App Package Credits
We provide you with 5 App Package Credits for your publishing fee. One credit is used each time you want to submit to your app store of choice. These can be used to update your app once it’s published, you just have to let us know when you’re ready to submit a new App Package to the app store(s).
Please note: App Package Credits will be used-up in re-submissions for apps that Apple reject - so reading the Apple App Guidelines before requesting Publishing is strongly advised
Your Relationship with Us (Calvium)
Once your app gets submitted to the app store of your choice, our company, Calvium, will have access to the limited Analytics tools that each app store provides. On your request, we’ll be able to check these analytics and report back to you with how many downloads of your app there have been.
We can also process updates to your app so that you can fix bugs, and provide users with new features - providing you have App Package Credits for that app (you can purchase 5 more credits at a time if you run out).
